Alcohol Laws & Compliance

General Alcohol Laws:

Law #1: Never over-serve 

  • The MAX you can serve per customer is: 
    • [2 beers]
    • OR [1 liquor drink] 
  • If they have one in their hand, you may only serve them one more

Law #2: ID EVERY customer 

  • No matter how old a customer appears, you must ID everyone who wishes to purchase an alcoholic beverage
  • If you have any doubt as to the validity of the ID, you are empowered to say NO

Law #3: Open every alcoholic beverage 

  • Before handing a customer an alcoholic beverage you must open the can or remove the cap
    • Keep any caps and throw them away at the end of your shift

Law #4: Never serve a customer that already seems intoxicated 

  • If you have any concern as to the inebriation level of the customer, you are empowered to say NO

DO NOT SERVE ANYONE WHO WAS BORN AFTER THE BORN ON DATE
